DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION — KAZNU’S NEW EDUCATIONAL MODEL

In the 2024–2025 academic year, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University deepened its digital transformation, elevating the educa tional process to a new level. The university is systematically inte grating artificial intelligence, big data, and online learning tools into its academic programs, forming a comprehensive digital education model (https://farabi.university). At the start of the academic year, KazNU’s Academic Council presented its digitization strategy. Key topics included interactive syllabi, recognition of informal learning, certification of profession al competencies, and licensing for online education. Regulations governing the educational process—such as academic policies and final assessment procedures—were updated to include guidelines for AI integration. KazNU’s IT infrastructure was modernized, and the Moodle platform was upgraded to meet current standards.
